Youth Activities

Date night

Ages 4-12

Drop the kids off at the Y for two hours of crafts, games, and pizza while you head out and enjoy some time for yourself. Date Night is held on a Friday evening, perfect for a night out. Dinner is included, so your kids are fed and happy. And best of all, you’re free to leave the building. Catch a movie, grab dinner for two, or just enjoy a quiet drive with no one asking “are we there yet?”

Your kids get a fun night with friends, and you get a well-earned break. Everybody wins.

*All children must be potty trained.

Youth Activity Program Sampler

Ages 3-5 | Ages 6-10

Over six weeks, your child will try a variety of new youth activity topics in a playful environment, at a pace that’s developmentally appropriate and engaging. It’s a great way to keep growing brains as active as little bodies. Parents are welcome to join in the fun!

Each week brings something new:

  • Nature Exploration: Get outside, get curious, and meet our Northern Michigan critter neighbors.
  • STEAM Experiments: Build it up, then watch it go!
  • Kitchen Confidence: Learn a favorite recipe to share with the whole family.
  • Creative Music: Find the rhythm and the groove. The whole world is an instrument!
  • STEAM Creation: Hands-on, sensory science fun.
  • Cozy Crafting: Make something warm and handmade for the season.

Parents of our 3-5 age group class are welcome to join in the fun!

Kids in the kitchen

Ages 6-11

Roll up your sleeves and get cooking! In this hands-on class, kids learn a simple recipe, follow it step by step, and then dig into a delicious creation they made themselves.

Along the way, they’ll pick up skills that go well beyond the kitchen: following directions, working with others, and the confidence that comes from saying, “I made that!”
