Youth Development

After shool Lead Volunteers

After School Lead Volunteers (ASLV) are the primary supervisors of our Middle School members between 2:45p and 5:00pm. These volunteers build positive, engaging experiences for kids while providing a safe space during the vulnerable after school hours. After School Lead Volunteers also support our Middle School Mentor youth volunteers in leading activities for our middle school members.

Learn more about this role here.

Middle School Mentors

Middle School Mentors (MSM) are the reason our middle school members want to come to the Y! During the afterschool hours, youth volunteers in this role will work alongside After School Lead Volunteers (ASLVs) and YMCA staff to lead students in engaging activities like board games, corn hole, hacky sack tournaments and more. This is a youth volunteer opportunity.
