Summer Day Camp

All camps are tailored to be age-appropriate and developmentally-appropriate.

If you have been notified your camper(s) are registered for our Summer Day Camp, please be sure to complete and submit the required registration packet prior to May 1st. NOTE: Completion of the Registration Packet does not qualify your child for camp if you have not previously been notified of camp enrollment. Contact cailin@gtbayymca.org with questions.

Registration Packet

If you have been notified your camper(s) are registered for our Summer Day Camp, please be sure to complete and submit the required registration packet prior to May 1st. The packet includes the following documents:

Waivers and Permissions Form

  • Grand Traverse Bay YMCA official registration, release, and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement
  • Participation Waiver
  • Field Trip Agreement
  • Sunscreen and Bug Spray Agreement
  • Day Camp Guidebook Acknowledgement

Financial Policies Form

  • Membership Status Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Non-Sufficient Funds Policy
  • Late Pickup Policy

Health Appraisal

Health appraisal does not need to be completed by a physician.

K-Camp

K-Camp is one of our traditional day camps for kids entering kindergarten and offers theme-based enrichment activities, group games, sports and fitness activities, hands-on experiments, arts and crafts and swimming. Your child will belong to an age-appropriate group that will help foster team building, friendship and a sense of belonging.

Traditional Camp

Our traditional day camps offer theme-based enrichment activities, group games, sports and fitness activities, hands-on experiments, arts and crafts and swimming. Your child will belong to an age-appropriate group that will help foster team building, friendship and a sense of belonging.

art Specialty Camp

Each week campers will be introduced to a new theme that will allow them to explore a variety of techniques and mediums throughout the week.

Science and Nature Camp

This camp is perfect for kids who love to experiment and explore the outdoors. They’ll take part in science projects, make up their own experiments and discover some cool things about nature in the area.

Sports Camp

Campers will build teamwork, fundamentals and sportsmanship through a variety of activities like guided drills and sport-specific activities. Campers will be challenged to develop passing, defense and how to work well with a team.
