The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to report to the members the status of the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA and celebrate organization-wide accomplishments in 2016. Additionally, to conduct any necessary business requiring a vote on Membership and to elect the Board of Directors from the slate of candidates.

The Grand Traverse Bay YMCA is a non-profit committed to strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Y brings families together, encourages good health and fosters connections through fitness, sports and recreation, fun, and shared interests.
As a valued member of the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA, you play a key role in determining how the Y will continue to serve our community now and in the future. We rely on you, our members, for input into the program direction, membership services, leadership, and more.
The Board of Directors is the governing body with responsibility for operational oversight (including facility management) and strategic direction. Board positions are held for a three-year term, and every year some Board members complete their terms, while some new members are elected, or previous members are re-elected to fill positions.
