TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD
A BETTER US.
WHAT DOES “US” MEAN?
Supporting the space where communities can stand united, not divided.
For over 160 years the Y, a leading community-based organization, has adapted and changed as society changed, uniting “us” in over 10,000 communities across the nation.
Today, the Y serves more than 22 million people annually at over 2,700 locations across all 50 states, making us uniquely positioned to continue bringing people together in the spirit of unity and helping find common ground.
Because of the Y, millions of people develop the skills and relationships they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure—making for a better us.
At our core, the Y is about helping individuals reach their full potential, and giving them opportunities to connect with the community around them, all in service of making us better as individuals, communities and as a nation.
WHAT IS AN ANNUAL CAMPAIGN?
Telling our story, raising money to carry forward our mission.
Each year, we launch an Annual Campaign to tell our story and raise the money necessary to support those in our community that need a helping hand.
When we come together as an organization, as a community, as people – we can make a difference in the lives of those around us.
We can create and protect a space where all are welcome, regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, race or financial status. We’re proud of that and need your help in leading our community.
A better question to ask is WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON’T PARTICIPATE?
- What if we didn’t have enough money to fund our financial assistance?
- What if we couldn’t fund our Safety Around Water program?
- What if we didn’t have dozens of dedicated volunteers to coach our sports teams?
- What if our community didn’t know our mission? Could we advance it?
There is certainly more than one way to contribute to our cause – spread our message, volunteer your time, contribute financially – whatever you are able to do, we are grateful.

Based on the financials from 2017 and the trends we’ve calculated for 2018.
Every dollar donated to the Y has a lasting impact on the people in its community. The Y passionately focuses on strengthening communities – bridging gaps of income, race, religion, age and more.
Every day, the Y supports kids, adults, seniors and families with programs that protect, teach, connect, heal, nourish and encourage. When people donate to the Y, they make their communities better and the “us” who live in them stronger.
