TOGETHER WE CAN BUILD
A BETTER US.
These are the focuses we keep in mind when creating any and all programming.
With the Y’s help, kids in neighborhoods across our community become more interested in learning and making smarter life choices. At the Y, kids learn more than their ABC’s – they learn to share, learn good sportsmanship, build skills, and most importantly, they learn how to be themselves. That makes for healthy, confident and connected kids today, and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.
Because the Y is for everyone, we bring together children, adults, and families of all backgrounds and abilities like no other organization can. As a result, thousands in the Grand Traverse area are receiving the support, guidance and resources needed to achieve greater health and well-being for their spirit, mind and body.
Thanks to the generosity of volunteers and public and private donors who give to the Y, our community is stronger. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
These are the 4 key focuses that the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA will promote by the year 2020.
ACCESS FOR ALL
As a charity, we will make sure the community will have access to program and membership services through the support of our annual campaign.
Health is a critical social issue facing our community. We will help create healthy families through our programs and services to effect positive change.
We will encourage active youth through programs, services, and activities that support and impact our community. We will help build healthy, confident, connected and secure children.
Working with others, the Y will expand our programs and services within the communities we serve to better impact youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The dollars generously donated through each annual campaign affect real people. Here are some.
